Getting Started

The SpruceKit Showcase app is a Wallet and Verifier app in one. This page explains the basic functiality of both these elements of the SpruceKit Showcase app

Wallet

The usefulness of the term "Wallet" is contested in the Verifiable Digital Credential space. When is something a "Wallet"? In the context of SpruceKit, we are simply talking about the combined functionality that allows a user of the application to participate in interactions as the holder of a Verifiable Digital Credential.

"A wallet can Accept, Store, and Present Verifiable Digital Credentials"

Upon opening the app, you will see an empty Wallet View. On the top right of the screen, there is a "QR Code Scanner" button along with a "Settings" button. We will show you how to populate this screen with some test credentials on the Next Page.

Verifier

You can access the verifier functionality by toggling to the Verifier at the bottom of your screen. You'll see the pre-loaded verifications available. This includes scans of physical documents such as a Driver's License Document and an Employment Authorization Document.
